When you register, we collect your username, email address, and a hashed version of your password. We never store your password in plain text. We also collect content you post (threads and replies), bookmarks, and notification preferences.

  • To create and manage your account.
  • To send email notifications for replies and mentions (opt-out available in settings).
  • To moderate the community and enforce our Terms of Service.
  • To improve the forum and understand how it is used.

3. Email Notifications

We may send transactional emails for account verification, password resets, and community notifications. Every notification email includes an unsubscribe link. You can also manage your preferences at any time from your account settings.

4. Data Sharing

We do not sell your personal information. Your username and forum posts are publicly visible to all visitors. Your email address is never displayed publicly and is only used internally.

5. Cookies and Sessions

We use a single session cookie to keep you logged in. No third-party tracking cookies are set. We do not use analytics services that fingerprint individual users.

6. Data Retention

Your account and posts are retained for as long as your account is active. If you wish to delete your account or have your data removed, contact us at the email below and we will process your request within 30 days.

7. Security

Passwords are hashed with bcrypt before storage. All traffic is served over HTTPS. We apply rate limiting to authentication and sensitive endpoints to reduce abuse.
