This sequence is clean for a single-family home. It falls apart fast in a multi-unit building, which is the gap I keep hitting. You can't stage a load calculation per-unit when the whole building shares one service, and getting agreement from unrelated owners on the order of operations is its own project before the electrical work even starts. Would love to see someone write the multi-unit version of this guide.
