Remodeling contractor in the Carolinas. F-150 Lightning as a work truck. Judging it by tow rating, payload, and whether I can run my saw from the bed.

Judging this by the same standard I judge any tool I put on a jobsite: does the spec sheet math survive actually building it. The bus bar torque note in the replies is the kind of detail that separates a guide that's been through a real build from one that's just been read about. Good guide.

Judging the RD6 by actual work truck standards since nobody else in this thread has: midsize unibody means the bed and payload numbers are going to be closer to a Maverick than an F-150, which is fine for a lot of jobs but not all of them. No mention of payload rating in the piece, no mention of whether the frunk holds a toolbox or just looks nice in photos. Interested but reserving judgment until someone publishes real numbers instead of lifestyle press shots.

Judge a battery by whether you can actually buy it. Blade fails that test today.
