Would 3 Grade C modules work for a 12V LED lighting experiment? I need about 400Wh at very low current — basically camp lighting and phone charging. Budget is maybe $50 total shipped to Minnesota. I know Grade C is degraded but for this application I wonder if it's fine.
This build log is why I joined this forum. I'm saving up for a junker motorcycle conversion and the BMS wiring section is the part I keep re-reading. How much time did you actually spend on the BMS configuration vs the mechanical work? Trying to figure out where to focus my studying.
My used Leaf came with scheduled charging set to 3am from the previous owner. Took me an entire week of plugging in and wondering why nothing happened until my dad figured it out. Setting up the charging schedule was the first thing I should have done.
$42/cell means my 16-cell 12V LFP project just got realistic on my actual budget. Been watching these prices for two years waiting for exactly this.
